Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with climate-controlled environmental rooms designed for wet paint application, and full makeup air capability.
Advantages of Wet Coating
Wet coatings can be applied in thin layers, achieving a very smooth finish. They can be applied to non-conductive substrates, including wood and plastic, and can be cured at room temperature, ideal for coating heat sensitive and large parts. Low gloss wet coatings are used for military and optical applications.
Wet Coating Process
Wet coating, or paint, is a solution consisting of binder, pigment, filler and solvent. The solvent provides the viscosity needed to meet the specified thickness of the layer and finish. It often acts as an inhibitor, delaying the curing process until the solvent has evaporated or the coating is exposed to oxygen or moisture. Other wet paints are used in combination, which require both paints to be mixed together to initiate curing.
Our wet paint line uses a fully-automated 7-stage Iron Phosphate stainless steel washer for the level of corrosion protection you require. We use electronic monitors to continually check and maintain the cleanliness of our washer stages.
We use Ransburg electrostatic wet guns for a flawless finish, every time.
