Company Overview

The Finishing Company is a privately owned custom coater with locations in Addison and Franklin Park, IL. The firm was originally established in Chicago in 1904. Since then it has grown into two facilities that total 120,000 square feet. The business model is divided into two units, with Functional Coatings in Addison, and Decorative coatings in Franklin Park. The functional coatings division includes the following services:

• Powder Coating (Two automatic conveyor lines and one batch line)
• Autodeposition Coatings (Lord Corporation's MetalJacket®)
• Adhesive Dip Coating for Rubber-to-Metal bonding (Lord Corporation's Chemlok®)
• Iron Phosphate (Henkel Corporation)
• Zinc Phosphate (Henkel Corporation-Calcium Modified Zinc)

The decorative coatings (Electoplating) division offers small to large scale production on both rapid prototyping and high volume conveyor lines. Covercoats offered include:

• Nickel Plating
• Chrome Plating
• Brass Plating
• Copper Plating
• Gold Plating
